A Brush with Lightning!
In a bizarre accident, a woman was struck by lightning, suffering severe burns to her anus.
Natasha Timarovic, 27, was cleaning her teeth at her home in the Croatian city of Zadar when the building was struck by lightning. It just so happened that at the same time she put her mouth up to the tap to rinse her teeth and that is when she was struck.
The lightning had travelled down the water pipe, struck her in the mouth and passed through her body. Fortunately, she had been wearing rubber shower shoes at the time, saving her life. Instead of the lightning earthing though her feet, which would have most likely killed her, it shot out her rear.
She was taken to the hospital where she was treated for severe burns to her mouth and her anus. She was released after staying overnight and is expected to make a full recovery.
Moral of the Story: Think twice before brushing your teeth in a storm!
