Eurokaz - International Festival of New Theatre

Dark, edgy and adventurous - it must be Eurokaz time in Zagreb. For two weeks at the end of the month you can revel in all manner of theatre, dance and artistic performances that aim to push the boundaries of 'what is theatre'. Within the main programme you can seek out special shows that explore 'new circus', body art and overseas theatre genres.

Now in it's 22nd year Eurokaz began life as a kick up the pants to the stranglehold that Communism held the creative world in; it still takes an anti-authoritarian line, so hang onto your socks anything could go off.
