Honouring the Illyrian movement - the return to Croatian cultural heritage, of which Vatroslav Lisinki was one of the founders, the Vatrsolav Lisinski Concert and Congress Hall is one of Zagreb's premier venues for live music. A typical weekly programme includes some of Zagreb and Croatia's finest orchestras as well as renowned orchestras invited from around the world. In addition, jazz is a staple of the regular menu and some of this part of the world's finest jazz-masters are regular visitors of the venue. If you're in town for more than a day or two, it's always worth checking the programme to see what's going on as the venue also plays host to a number of international events taking place in Zagreb.
